Deedlock AEM501F-1B Flush Mount Hold Open Magnet

For internal fire doors which, for reasons of high traffic, or to ease  circulation, are required to be kept open in normal daily use, they may be fitted with an electromagnetic hold open device. The electromagnet holds the door in the open position against the power of the door closing device. They must be used in conjunction with the building's fire alarm or detection system so that in the event of an emergency the electromagnet is de-activated and the door will close automatically under the door closer power to retain the fire door's integrity.
